Better profit with Syngenta’s high oleic sunflowers

In the past year we faced many market challenges and low purchase prices for sunflower production. In years like this, Syngenta’s high oleic hybrids are the best solution for improving sunflower revenues. In 2017 a large number of farmers from the Dobrich region decided to place their trust in Talento, Experto and Grazia, and the hybrids rewarded them in the best possible way – with excellent yield and excellent premium.

In the village of Paskalevo, Dobrich region, the company Bio OOD implemented the full Syngenta technology. On a field of 600 decares, the choice fell on the high oleic Experto and Talento. For a flying start of the sunflower, the soil herbicide with the longest residual effect – Gardoprim Plus Gold – was applied.
Subsequently, Listego was also used for the difficult and hazardous weeds field bindweed and creeping thistle.

At the bud stage, for protection against all diseases that have a negative impact on sunflower yields and oil content, Syngenta’s newest fungicide was applied. Amistar Gold contains two active substances with different modes of action, and hence both the preventive and curative effect of the product.

The complete Syngenta technology led to results of 370 kg per decare and a significant advantage over competing seeds and technologies.

Similar results were achieved by the agricultural cooperative in the village of Benkovski, Dobrich region – there the scale showed an average yield of 380 kg from an area of 1,000 decares.
